Kāi Tahu, Kāti Wheke
Brett has spent the last four years working for Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu as a Māori Language Advisor for Kotahi Mano Kāika. He will bring this experience to his new role and assist facilitators, teachers and school leaders with cultural responsiveness and cultural awareness. He is a staunch advocate for the revitalisation of te reo Māori and retaining our traditional practices, mō tātou, ā, mō kā uri a muri ake nei. In his spare time he enjoys playing sport and loves all water activities such as sailing and paddling waka, diving for kaimoana, swimming, fishing and doing bombs off the wharf.
